Touching the Clouds

Ciao Amalfi Coast Blog touching clouds2

We’ve been having typical spring weather on the Amalfi Coast for the past week – a rather indecisive and confusing mix of rain and sun. I can’t decide whether it’s worth the risk to put the laundry outside, as one moment it’s gloriously sunny and perfect and the next it’s pouring. The wacky weather has brought with it some beautiful clouds though. Yesterday evening as they floated by I felt like I could reach out and touch them they were so close.

At least you are seeing the sun sometimes, it has been miserable here all week. This time last year it already felt like summer had arrived.

Ciao Lucia! I love the beautiful clouds that come along with a change of weather. It's a good thing my desk doesn't face the window! 🙂

Ciao LindyLouMac! Yes, it's been a rainy and cloudy spring down here, too. This year I'm really read for warmer weather and sun sun sun!

Ciao Lisa! How about I send some fluffy Italy clouds your way? 🙂

Ciao Melissa! Yes, not bad laundry problems, really. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

This morning I said my goodbyes to Bruno Catalano’s “Travelers” on my morning walk. Tomorrow I’m off to be a traveler myself and they’ll likely be gone by the time I’m back. They’ve been good company, but it’s time for them to move on to their next destination. 🧳

I’m back! After some time in the USA with family I’m back! After some time in the USA with family, I’m back home in Amalfi and adjusting to the time with my usual early morning walks. What’s not usual is that there are so many people out and about now compared to when I left in July. At 7:30am this morning there were already people set up at the beach to get those first sun rays that you can see just hitting the beach. Very clever! The water is so clear and pretty in the morning. I enjoy watching the changes that come throughout the season. This morning there were two guys tossing a football on the beach. That was unexpected! 🏈
