Mamma Agata’s USA Cookbook Tour!

Over the past two weeks I’ve shared with you about the Mamma Agata Cooking School on the Amalfi Coast, located in an absolutely dreamy spot in Ravello, and one of my favorite cookbooks called “Mamma Agata – Simple and Genuine.” My dear friend Chiara Lima, author of the cookbook and director of the Mamma Agata Cooking School, is about to head off to the USA for a tour celebrating her fabulous cookbook. I know many of my readers are located in America, and I’m excited to share with you the details about Chiara’s cooking and book signing events. If you love the Amalfi Coast and Italian cooking, you won’t want to miss out on meeting Chiara and picking up a copy of her cookbook. Best wishes and safe travels to Chiara as she travels across America sharing her family’s passion for cooking and the good life – Amalfi Coast style!

Thanks for stopping by, Laura! 🙂 Oh…. YUM is right! Mamma Agata’s gnocchi are so lovely. It was the first time I made gnocchi, and the recipe was so easy to follow, and they came out very well. I’ll be posting about them soon!

Awesome! Can’t wait to see the photos and read about your first go at gnocchi!! Did you make it alla Sorrentina or another sauce?

Ciao Laura! I was so busy working away at them with my Mom that we forgot to take pictures of the steps along the way. But we did take a photo of the finished product…. Gnocchi alla Sorrentina just out of the oven. YUM!!

Today is an unspeakably sad day for the Amalfi Coa Today is an unspeakably sad day for the Amalfi Coast after the tragic bus accident this morning in Ravello where Nicola Fusco, a young bus driver only 29 years old, lost his life. Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause and I won’t share the upsetting details. The road to Ravello is currently closed and it’s not clear when it will reopen. Nicola was a kind, talented, and experienced driver—the third generation of drivers in his family—a family very close to ours. My husband has been a guide with all three generations and watched Nicola grow up. This is something that shouldn’t happen, shouldn’t ever happen, but it’s something we all fear here. Our hearts are with the Fusco family and to everyone who Nicola’s life touched. 🖤

To say this is a big deal for the fans doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’ve been watching videos from Amalfi, Sorrento, Ischia and all around Campania. Here was a quiet moment in Atrani before the celebrations began. ⚽️
