Ice Skating in Amalfi

Amalfi Ice Rink Skating

There is a fun addition to the festive atmosphere in Amalfi this year with the arrival of an ice skating rink. Yes an ice skating rink in Amalfi! The kids in town have been enjoying trying it out on these warm December days. There are even cute little bears they can push around to get used to the ice. It certainly isn’t a natural experience on the Amalfi Coast!

The ice rink is set up along the lungomare with beautiful views of the harbor and Amalfi. Even if you’re not one to take to the ice, you certainly can’t beat the view!

The ice rink in Amalfi is open until January 6th, 2016.

I thank that the ice rink is a nice addition for the holidays…..I’m surprised that it only stays for a month, quite the enterprise to get it up and running and then break it down…I bet that everyone enjoys ‘the difference’…..Thanks for sharing it, another ‘slice’ of your paradise.

Happy New Years to You and Yours….

Happy New Year Will! I hope they’ll bring the ice rink back next year, too. It was fun to watch!

This morning I said my goodbyes to Bruno Catalano’s “Travelers” on my morning walk. Tomorrow I’m off to be a traveler myself and they’ll likely be gone by the time I’m back. They’ve been good company, but it’s time for them to move on to their next destination. 🧳

I’m back! After some time in the USA with family I’m back! After some time in the USA with family, I’m back home in Amalfi and adjusting to the time with my usual early morning walks. What’s not usual is that there are so many people out and about now compared to when I left in July. At 7:30am this morning there were already people set up at the beach to get those first sun rays that you can see just hitting the beach. Very clever! The water is so clear and pretty in the morning. I enjoy watching the changes that come throughout the season. This morning there were two guys tossing a football on the beach. That was unexpected! 🏈
