The Amalfi Duomo Webcam is Back!

Many thanks to my Mom who alerted me this morning that the Amalfi Piazza Duomo webcam is back online. Great news!! This is my favorite webcam on the Amalfi Coast, due in no small part to my love of the Duomo of Amalfi. (In fact, I wrote my masters thesis on that lovely facade you see up there.) Click here to go the live webcam now. I have also included the link over on the left, under Webcams. Click on the Amalfi link to go to the Lega Navale Italiana website that hosts the Piazza Duomo webcam and another great one of the port of Amalfi.

Speaking of webcams, I have an ongoing list of some of the best in the area that I have been intending to update here on Ciao Amalfi. This just inspired me to get to work! If anyone has any suggestions for great webcams in the Amalfi Coast/ Sorrento/ Naples area, please drop me a line or leave me a comment. Grazie!

Ciao Chuck! Prego, prego! Glad to introduce you to this webcam. It is a lovely view, isn’t it? I have family and friends in the United States that look at the webcams and enjoy seeing what the weather is like here and what is going on. I look at them, too, in order to see what is going on in different cities. I have to admit that I use the Amalfi Port webcam sometimes to see if there are parking spots available! 🙂

That is a clever way to get a hard parking spot! Have a great day the weather looks fine. Grazie

thanks for letting us know, I had just about given up on that webcam now but I LOVE it, I love to see the hustle and bustle in the town center. I especially enjoy it on early summer mornings, when the first rays of sun start to illuminate the buildings and the shop owners make everything ready for the crowds.

oh god how I miss my Amalfi.

Ciao Annika! I certainly know how you feel! When I am back in the States visiting family, I really miss Amalfi, too. I often watch the sun rise in Amalfi on those webcams before going to bed. It leaves just a nice visual image before falling asleep. Hope you can make it back to Amalfi soon. It is waiting for you!

It’s a topic that has been on my mind a great deal lately, as it is like clockwork every six months as I go through my usual round of check ups. She spoke so gently and simply about how when she looks back on the experience now she sees all the gifts that it brought her - something that hit me on a profound level. Gifts.

I don’t know exactly why I’ve hung on to this little appointment card from Tuesday, June 15, 2021. It was for my first ultrasound where the breast cancer was found. It’s not exactly the sort of thing to be sentimental over. Looking at it today—three years later—and feeling very grateful for everything being clear and good after the latest tests, I thought of this song. This card is a little souvenir of a terrible year. But, after that recent conversation, I realized that I don’t look back at it that way anymore. Because it was also a colorful year in so many ways. Maybe I’ve hung onto it because I needed to realize that the biggest gift I can give myself is to remember the gifts. Thanks, Sally! 💙

I love having a birthday in June. But since I will be back in Nebraska with family for my birthday later this month (for the first time in years! 🎉), I’m making sure I really sit and notice everything I love about this month in Amalfi. And, yes, I’m one of those people who stretches out birthday celebrations for as long as possible! 💙
