A Walk Through Amalfi’s Duomo of Sant’Andrea

Photo ItalyItalia.com

I think every architectural historian has their absolute favorite building. For some, it is the building that inspired the love and study of architecture, while for others it is a building happened across during travels or studies that once seen was never forgotten. For me, it is the Duomo of Amalfi, which is a building that inspires me in almost indescribable ways. If you haven’t visited this stunning church for yourself, you can head over to ItalyItalia.com and read an article I wrote called A Walk Through Amalfi’s Duomo of Sant’Andrea. Right now it is even featured on the homepage!

Have you visited the Duomo of Amalfi? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Ciao KC! Grazie! Do you have a favorite building?

Ciao Chuck! Grazie! I love that photo, too. It really shows how the city is built all around the church.

Ciao Gil! Thank you so much! I wish I taken that photo. What a great viewpoint to view the city! (It is one of ItalyItalia's photos.) Hope you can visit here in the summer next year!

But The Travelers by @brunocesarcatalano in Amalfi has been extended to November 5, 2023. I wasn’t ready for them to travel on yet!
This morning I said my goodbyes to Bruno Catalano’s “Travelers” on my morning walk. Tomorrow I’m off to be a traveler myself and they’ll likely be gone by the time I’m back. They’ve been good company, but it’s time for them to move on to their next destination. 🧳
