Out & About: Seeing Double

Somehow, in the midst of packing and traveling, I missed publishing the following Out & About post from last month. It was one of those early spring days, sunny and warm, that was just perfect for the beach. It was nearly empty, which is always an unusual sensation on a beach in Amalfi. When I settled into a nice spot, I looked up to discover a picturesque scene with a kayak and the sea in front of me. Out came the camera . . .

I laid back and enjoyed the warm sun, and when I looked up awhile later I saw another kayak had arrived. Don’t they make such a cute couple?

I am packing again, but this time for my return trip to Italy later this week. I am looking forward to being out and about again on the Amalfi Coast!

But The Travelers by @brunocesarcatalano in Amalfi has been extended to November 5, 2023. I wasn’t ready for them to travel on yet!
This morning I said my goodbyes to Bruno Catalano’s “Travelers” on my morning walk. Tomorrow I’m off to be a traveler myself and they’ll likely be gone by the time I’m back. They’ve been good company, but it’s time for them to move on to their next destination. 🧳
