On a sunny day at the beginning of November we headed over the Lattari Mountains to Naples. Destination: Mt. Vesuvius! After climbing Mt. Etna in Sicily, my mother was very excited to tackle another volcano. I hadn’t ever been to the top of Mt. Vesuvius, so I was really happy she wanted to go. The views from the top are stunning!
Last time I climbed Vesuvius I forgot to check the weather and found myself inside a huge white cloud! No view of anything!
Oh no! We were a little worried about that, and it did end up being quite hazy. But we could just make out Capri, Ischia and the Sorrento Peninsula. I’d love to go back on a clear day!
