The power of the sea

Yesterday, while on an afternoon walk down by the port of Amalfi, I happened across a very large pile of stones. Hum, strange. It took just a moment, however, to realize that they had come from one of the piers in the port, which has been damaged by the strong sea and storms in the past week. The power of the sea is sometimes frightening!

The section of the pier damaged. You can see the pile of rocks ahead.

Where the sea left the rocks.

Ciao Leanne! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, the strange weather continues… yesterday it hailed! But it was clear and much drier today. Hopefully the weather will be back in order and lovely by the time you come back!

But The Travelers by @brunocesarcatalano in Amalfi has been extended to November 5, 2023. I wasn’t ready for them to travel on yet!
This morning I said my goodbyes to Bruno Catalano’s “Travelers” on my morning walk. Tomorrow I’m off to be a traveler myself and they’ll likely be gone by the time I’m back. They’ve been good company, but it’s time for them to move on to their next destination. 🧳
