Sunday Shout-out: CyberItalian.com

Benvenuti to the first Sunday Shout-out of October! This month’s theme is Italian, and throughout the month I’ll be spotlighting websites related to learning Italian. Since finding Italian classes or lessons can be difficult depending on where you live, I’ll be sharing some of my favorites for learning Italian online. I’ll also shine the spotlight on websites and blogs that teach and inspire me to learn more about the Italian language. I know many of you reading are fellow students and lovers of the Italian language. I hope you enjoy this month’s theme, and are encouraged by all the different ways you can incorporate the Italian language into your daily life.

This week’s Shout-out goes to the Italian language learning website CyberItalian.com. They have a fun, innovative and flexible learning program offered online with different options depending on what type of instruction you would like, including Self-Study Courses, Tutored Courses and Private Lessons. Not sure where to start? You can take their Placement Test to see what level you should begin at with their classes.

Not sure if an online study course is right for you? Everyone learns in a different way, and it’s hard to tell in advance whether a program will click with you or not. I’m kicking off this month’s Sunday Shout-outs series with CyberItalian.com, because I just learned that they are offering a free Beginner Self-Study course now through October 9th. What a deal! I wanted to share this opportunity with all of my readers who are looking for a great way to begin learning Italian, or for anyone interested in brushing up on the basics. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to see all the features of the CyberItalian.com website and learn if it’s the right match for you. I’ve signed up for the free course to do just that!

Ooooh! What a great post! I love your topic this month. I am going to do their placement test and see how much damage has been done in the year and a half since I have been in Italy… crossing my fingers! I hope I haven't lost too much of the Italian language skills that I worked so hard for.

Ciao Amber! So happy you enjoyed the post. I debated about whether readers would be interested in a learning Italian theme. But when I saw the free course offer I just had to share it! Great idea to brush up on your Italian so you don't lose all your hard work! Have fun!

Ciao Una! Thanks for sharing that link! I was really hoping readers would share other websites and learning techniques that they have discovered. That's great that you can take Italian classes where you live! I think that's the best approach for sure. In bocca al lupo! 🙂

Hi Laura, just back from our first class. We have a lovely teacher from Italy, (Rome I think). We had great fun spelling out our names in Italian and exchanging telephone numbers. Very practical lesson. Also the tutor has a good sense of humour which does help. Lots of homework to do for next week. Hope I'll be able for this!

Ciao Una! Thanks for the update! Your class sounds like so much fun, and it makes me wish I could take a class as well. Having the interaction with a teacher would be great, especially a fun teacher! Enjoy your class! 🙂

It’s a topic that has been on my mind a great deal lately, as it is like clockwork every six months as I go through my usual round of check ups. She spoke so gently and simply about how when she looks back on the experience now she sees all the gifts that it brought her - something that hit me on a profound level. Gifts.

I don’t know exactly why I’ve hung on to this little appointment card from Tuesday, June 15, 2021. It was for my first ultrasound where the breast cancer was found. It’s not exactly the sort of thing to be sentimental over. Looking at it today—three years later—and feeling very grateful for everything being clear and good after the latest tests, I thought of this song. This card is a little souvenir of a terrible year. But, after that recent conversation, I realized that I don’t look back at it that way anymore. Because it was also a colorful year in so many ways. Maybe I’ve hung onto it because I needed to realize that the biggest gift I can give myself is to remember the gifts. Thanks, Sally! 💙

I love having a birthday in June. But since I will be back in Nebraska with family for my birthday later this month (for the first time in years! 🎉), I’m making sure I really sit and notice everything I love about this month in Amalfi. And, yes, I’m one of those people who stretches out birthday celebrations for as long as possible! 💙
