I love it when the bougainvillea blooms on the Amalfi Coast each summer, and I know I’m not alone in this passion. Photo Friday this week is dedicated to Saretta from Amid the Olive Trees, who stopped by last week’s Positano Bougainvillea post and left a sweet comment asking for more bougainvillea photos. That’s an easy wish to fulfill! I wait each spring for the bougainvillea surrounding the ceramic sign of the Gran Caffè in Amalfi to bloom with its bright pink flowers. Such a delight! Wishing you all a delightful weekend from the Amalfi Coast!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! It is so gorgeous, I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks so. How cute that they got the plant to grow around their sign!
Ciao Saretta! So happy you enjoyed! 🙂
Thanks for sharing! It is so beautiful…

Thanks, Pat! I’m so glad that I stopped to take this photo when I did. The next time I went to Amalfi I noticed that all the pretty blossoms had either fallen or been blown off. So sad! But I’m glad I captured it while they were there!
Hi again Laura,
We’ve corresponded a few times before–now my friends and I have returned to Atrani and we are enjoying reading your posts from a local perspective. I hope you don’t find this strange but we would love to meet you while we are here. We are in the Atrani main square at Bar Birecto most every evening from around 6:30-8:30– if you happen to be in Atrani please come and have some Prosecco with us! We are here until July 7, when we will somehow have to say goodbye to our beloved little town once more.
Ciao Kate! I remember our correspondence, and I’m so happy to read that you’re back in Atrani! I would love to meet up and hear about your travels and stay in Atrani. I will sent you a quick email so we can plan a good time. A presto, Laura
Ok great! I am assuming you have my email but if not please let me know. Looking forward to it,

My wife took the same picture of the Bougainvillea of the Gran Caffe, but I could have sworn it was in Minori and not Amalfi.Maybe they have 2?
Happy belated birthday. Tante Auguri!
Ciao Dan! I don’t think there’s a Gran Caffé in Minori, but I could be mistaken as I don’t get over there as often as I would like. Glad you had the chance to see the pretty bougainvillea with your wife! 🙂 Thanks for the birthday wishes!!
